My History…My Story

 

I am an ACC level (Accredited Coaching Certificate) coach, certified through the International Coaching Federation. The International Coach Federation (ICF for short) is “the leading global organization dedicated to advancing the coaching profession by setting high standards, providing independent certification and building a worldwide network of trained coaching professionals.”1

 

My professional coach training was through Erickson College International School. With that training, I have been working as a Solutions Focused transitions coach since 2014, with a focus on career advancement, project development, problem-solving, and personal growth.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

I then followed this up with enhanced training in the area of Conflict Management Coaching, through the CINERGY Coaching program. I am a CINERGY Certified Conflict Management Coach.

 

Prior to that, I had a successful 37 year career in education. In the last 17 years of that career, I worked as a secondary school administrator. As a Vice-Principal and then a Principal, I worked with people and supported them as they grew professionally, and brought their ideas to life.  I had the pleasure of working with team leaders, supporting them and problem-solving with them as these leaders worked to bring their teams to overcome challenges and attain their desired goals. I bring these skills to my coaching practice as I works with clients as they strive to move forward in their personal and professional lives.

 

I am also a parent of a son who has a permanent developmental disability. As a result, I am very knowledgeable about the successes, the challenges, and the opportunities that exist in the disabled community. I have experienced all of them and have navigated through labyrinth of supports that are available to the community.  I have the experience to support people as they work through issues that face those in the disabled community.
